Какую информацию мы хотим распространять во внешнюю аудиторию о Скаутинге? Что такое пропаганда и что мы должны пропагандировать? Почему и как мы должны искать финансирование? Это лишь немногие из нескольких вопросов, на которые 19 участников из 10 стран попытались ответить в течение учебной сессии, проведенной с 13 по 18 февраля в Европейском молодежном центре Совета Европы в Будапеште.
19 участников имели возможность изучить три основные элемента, связанные с темой внешних отношений: пропаганда, коммуникация и сбор средств. Это было достигнуто путем сочетания теоретических занятий и практических упражнений с точки зрения определения основных понятий и мер, чтобы стать активным, эффективным и успешным в этой области. На протяжение всего курса обеспечивался синхронный английско-русский перевод, что, безусловно, облегчило усвоение знаний и взаимодействие между участниками.

Кроме того, участники разработали конкретный план последующих действий для обеспечения распространения знаний и опыта. У каждого был большой опыт, но, несмотря на это, все готовы привезти домой то, чему научился на этой сессии.
What kind of messages do we want to spread to external audience about Scouting? What is advocacy and what should we advocate for? Why and how NSOs should look for funding?
These are only few of the several questions which 19 participants from 10 countries tried to answer during a Study Session held from 13 to 18 February at the European Youth Centre of the Council of Europe in Budapest.
In the frame of the cooperation between the European and Eurasia Regions of WOSM, the Study Session “Tell the Story! Better communication to strengthen Youth NGOs” was organised thanks to the support of the Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe with the following aim: to stimulate youth non-governmental organisations in Eastern Europe and Caucasus to create and manage effective advocacy and communication strategies and promote new effective ways of participation for young people.
The 19 participants, coming from NSOs of both the Regions, had the opportunity to explore three main elements related to the broad theme of external relations: Advocacy, Communication and Fundraising. The facilitation provided by the preparatory team and the external experts supported the participants in deepening the topics. This was achieved through a combination of theoretical inputs and practical exercises in the view of identifying the main concepts and steps to become active, efficient and successful in this field. Thanks to the great facilities offered by the European Youth Centre of Budapest it was been possible to run the whole session with simultaneous interpretation English-Russian, and this surely eased the delivering of the different sessions and the interaction between the participants.

Moreover, all the participants designed a concrete follow-up plan to ensure the dissemination of knowledge and expertise within their sending NSOs. The experience has been a great personally but they also all committed to bring back home all the different ideas and suggestions heard at the Study Session!
